Beautiful spot! Unfortunately the fuel line for stove was damaged by a bear, and water got in the system. It took us 5 hours to MacGyver a fix and clean the system. The skiff was missing, apparently swept away by an avalanche, so we were stuck at the cabin and couldn't go to the best fishing areas. Of course, unexpected things happen at remote sites in AK, but from a read of the cabin log both of these issues happened multiple times. I hope the FS can allocate some resources for the Plotnikof cabin to bearproof the fuel line and place the skiff out of the avalanche zone.
