The cabin was great for our group of 6. The landing was somewhat muddy and it was difficult to climb up the bank with our gear. But once near the cabin, everything was great.

Cabin is in excellent shape and well take care of. The scenery was beautiful in the area and access to the lake was awesome. There were a number of downsides though - there was no shade or overhanging trees. When we came, it was in the middle of a heat wave, so we hacked a path to the backside of the cabin and spent most of the afternoons back there using the cabin for shade. The river level also rose significantly so there was zero fish caught out front (not even a bite). The trail that leads to the lake north of the cabin was overgrown (Forest Service came in and bushwhacked the whole path while we were packing up to leave, unfortunate they came in on the last day of our trip). The lake itself was beautiful, and the only fish we caught were caught there (cutthroat). You can also expect a lot of local traffic on the weekends if the weather is nice (30+ boats a day going by) and about a third of that during the weekdays. All in all I enjoyed the trip, however if you're looking to fish, go to Mt. Rydna cabin - if you're looking for seclusion, charter a float plane and go to a lake.
