Remote! This is the place to disconnect, detox, and regroup! You can get great internet by walking up the steep driveway and while you're up there you'll get fabulous views. Like the stuff paintings are made of. Great history, culture and chance meetings of hikers (AZ Trail comes through), bikers, and maybe a rider! Awesome stories from the people you meet out enjoying nature. Also, a wild turkey (tom) circles the area at least twice a day. Distant howling of coyotes. Rabbits, deer, and birds. Just be mindful of where you keep your food at night as there's mice but it's all manageable.

It's in a beautiful location; beware that the combo numbers change and might not work for the main gate + cabin door. We arrived 9pm at night, with two young kiddos. Had to walk the last 0.3 mile and luckily could open an unlocked door. Otherwise we'd be sleeping in the car. Called the helpline, but did not receive a reply (either the weekend we stayed or after).

Not as many ghosts as other cabins in this program, even though it was a full moon and Friday the 13th. Nice collection of info in the binders. Didn’t see any mice. Clean and comfy. Easy drive that a Toyota Camry could handle.
