Wonderful, huge place in the forest. Do read the directions, Google Maps will send you to the wrong place! No issues with critters, or otherwise. Wonderful experience for kids, especially with the river right by the cabin.

Good overall experience but bring lanterns & other lights also and a long bbq lighter and bring a jackery generator because the wall outlets don't work and keep food stored away because of mice and keep bags closed and the shower works but hot is cold and cold is hot

We have visited Harvey West several times in past years with our family. We love being in the forest with privacy and swimming access at our private beach. This year was the same with the exception of critters in the cabin. We've had mice before but never the pack rats and wood rats running around the room with us in it. They reside in the fireplace, which is unusable. We can agree that we are invading their territory but because of diseases spread by them, we were very uncomfortable. We would appreciate additional effort to prevent them from entering the cabin. We are cabin owners and know there are humane ways of moving them into the outdoors.
