Great little cabin, very easily accessible from a maintained dirt road. It comes with access to an additional small cabin. There were only 3 of us so we all stayed in the main cabin. Logistically it might be difficult if fully occupied (12) as there is a single outhouse. We temporarily moved one table outdoors to put our Coleman grill on. Nice sunken campfire pit. There is no running water so we hauled ours. A small creek runs next to it so one could pump water if needed. The cabin has a stove which we didn't need to use. All beds are enveloped with zip around tarp covers, so I was glad we brought sheets in addition to pillows and sleeping bags. We did see one mouse on the ground floor. Lovely views from the cabin.

Really awesome cabins. These ones are for the more authentic early miner experience. There is a second cabin that was a nice surprise, I slept like a baby in the Schwartz cabin, Roberts cabin is pretty rustic, I used it more for storage and hanging out. Its a must to open the window shutters to let more light in, remember to lock them up when youre leaving. Thanks to whoever left the gas lantern, very useful. It runs off the green gas cans.. I left 8 new mouse traps, feel free to keep them baited up. If you dont want visitors keep the gate closed. Lots of male cyclists in spandex and jeepers kicking up dust on the road.. A group of 30 jeeps went by all playing Taylor Swift in unison and tailgating each other, it was very strange but also hilarious. no cell service at the cabin but if you drive 3 minutes up the hill or out towards Como you get service. I'll be back some day but my wife has already said no

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Clean and no mice, perfect for our family of 4. The last morning a bull moose came to visit too! One note for those with young children: because of the history of the property there is a lot of rusted metal around the immediate area. We were able to tell our kids to be careful but a heads up for anyone who might be concerned.
