For the second year in a row I arrived to the Bass Lake site and found that there were people already set up on the campsite.

We always love this site. Wish the people before us had more respect. It's always a quiet beautiful spot.

This campsite would’ve been amazing if it weren’t for the mosquitoes. They were so bad that they would constantly be swarming us and our dogs even with long sleeves/pants and ample bug spray. We only stayed one night and then got out of there and decided to skip our second night. Probably great during shoulder season when there’s likely less mosquitoes! Definitely need an suv or a car that sits a little higher to get there through the uneven dirt roads.
