Great little cabin in a nice area. Nice amenities, in line with other forest service cabins. Propane throughout the cabin is a huge plus. Mice are a problem at this cabin, seeing mice in cabin upon check-in, hearing them in the walls and mice would get into the bathroom at night and eat the toilet paper. If you can get past the mice it’s a very nice cabin.

We’ve usually had good experiences with cabins, but this one had a few issues. The worst part was the bat flying around above the bed, and there was a mouse decaying in a trap (it had been there awhile but we got rid of it) , and the people who were there before us did not empty pail under sink, and it looked moldy, so we carried it out. Also, I got an allergic reaction to something in the cabin. We only used one night of our three nights that we had booked, and we never actually slept in the cabin, but rather slept in the vehicle after seeing the bat. (Bats can carry rabies so we did not want t risk it plus my allergies were too bad and I suspected a reaction to mold). Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the night when we arrived, it was just after dark and we could see that somebody was on the property and it turns out that a random bicyclist was passing through and he thought the cabin was vacant so he decided to camp there. We were a bit scared at first but then we realized that he was scared too. He packed up and moved down the road. Positives: It does have a very nice outhouse. The remote location is perfect for those looking for solitude. The cabin had a very historic vibe. If you want truly rustic, this is your place. It is great to get away from cell service,

A remote, awesome piece of Montana to get away. The cabin is in great shape and it's a cozy place when it's cold. You may hear a scurry and the upstairs is sparce but the kitchen and cook area is great, the surrounding area second to none. It's close to many natural resources and we can't speak highly enough about it, although we hesitate to because then everyone will want to go there.
