The cabin is great! Thank you Forest service for supplying wood for the heating stove! Beautiful hike to the cabin. Snow was pretty deep at the end of March so we couldn’t do as much hiking as we wanted but the experience was great. It’s great to live in the USA and have these resources.

Secluded but an easy drive with a decent road. The cabin is small and cozy and is equipped with everything you need for a cabin stay. I brought my supplies, bedding, and ready to eat meals, but there is also a few kitchen and cleaning supplies available. The woodstove does very well and there is plenty of firewood. We hiked one of the nearby trails. Then took advantage of the sunny front porch to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We were surprised to hear a coyote calling in the late afternoon and then even more surprised to see it just a hundred or so yards away. We watched it call in the rest of the pack and they all gathered in the meadow. We were woken with their calls again in the morning. Stargazed until bedtime. Did it all again the next day. Pleasant and peaceful stay.

such a peaceful cabin! backs up to a public hiking trail, so there will be people around if the weather is nice, but trail is around the corner enough. loved our experience!
