Bring your own firewood for inside the wood stove. All the other usfs facilities supply a generous amount. This forest area barely gave enough for 2 nights. And there was nothing inside! It was left in the weather on the porch. I moved it all in because it is Montana. And that night it poured rain. Both nights. For $73 a night we should get plenty of wood.. because nobody cleans them. Which the past guests do ok anyway. I know about this part. Idc about cleaning up a little. And there was No square, nose, ash shovel either. Its a must for cleaning out wood stoves.

We stayed for two nights, and hiked nearby each day. The cabin is pretty small and spare, as FS cabins go. We saw mouse sign (droppings) when we wiped down the cabin upon arrival, but did not catch any mice in the two snap traps we set, and there was no further sign of them. The cabin really does not sleep 5 as the webpage states, there are a set of bunkbeds downstairs with mattresses, and two cots in the tiny loft with no pads.
