Roads are long and a pain coming from the Powers area. Take a paper map of downloaded maps. Lookout was the same as it was 30 years ago. Great shape, clean, and good views...until the fog and mist come in. Great trip and highly recommend trying.

The news are phenomenal. Don't follow the directions from Google. There are a couple of axle busters. One just before the gate and one just before the lookout. There are basic supplies. There's a propane cook top that works. The heater doesn't work. The need was very comfortable. Bring your own bedding.
