An almost spiritual experience to be on such special ground

Excellent location with an amazing history. House itself is very well kept and comfortable. We were able to walk more of the battlefield than our normal hikes being in the middle of this incredible location

We visited Gettysburg to retrace the steps of an ancestor who served in the 2nd Sharpshooters, NH Co. F. This unit was charged with impeding the Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas infantry as they moved towards Little Round Top. We had a memorable experience and learned a lot. To actually stay on the battlefield at Bushman Farm was amazing. The 2nd Sharpshooters were placed at the Slyder Farm to engage the Confederate troops moving towards Round Top. Amazing experience to stay right there. The Bushman Farm itself was wonderful. Was clean and beautiful. We didn't cook a lot as our stay was short but the kitchen was very well equipped. We would have loved to have had our daughter stay with us, but since she was travelling with her dog, that was not possible. This was disappointing but very understandable considering the historic significance of the property.
