Always a great time at the lodge...

Could not get the temperature in the cabin over 40°, even with two fireplaces and the wood stove going. The fireplace in the bedroom has something wrong with the flu so it smokes up the room and can’t be used. The other bedroom has no heat at all. The single-pane windows do not give any resistance to the cold outside. Since our trip we’ve heard that people bring in their own curtains. We were glad we had 15° sleeping bags but it is not pleasant to hang out in the cabin in the evening. We planned to stay 2 nights but left after one night because no one slept due to stoking the fires all night. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils, and there was plenty of wood but be ready to split it and bring a maul. The propane stove and oven worked fine.
