What an amazing place to camp! The cabin was cozy and easy to keep warm on a chilly night. Bathrooms were clean and close by. Very quiet location to do some star gazing as well. I highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it. Local wildlife (squirrels) would come to visit in the mornings and with the gate to this location you are isolated and alone. We went hiking around the area and saw some beautiful forest. With no cell service, it gave our family time to connect and find fun in all kinds of other things to do.

There was no gate and so people on 4 wheelers would ride right up to the guard station. Broken glass was all over where people had built campfires. Too many intruders there. Very disappointed

The guard station is awesome. My family had a great time and the flowers were beautiful. A couple of things we would have done differently. If you are not in a truck, SUV or are pulling any kind of trailer, do not take the road from Utah. It is very rocky. The road from St charles is MUCH smoother. Also, don't forget your own toilet paper and bug spray. The bugs weren't unbearable, but bug repellant is a must. When we went, the guard station had a couple of brooms, firewood and an axe. Overall, my kids loved it!

Spent a night here with my family. We had young kids (6,4,2). Kids enjoyed exploring the woods and nearby meadow. The cabin was nice and again my kids enjoyed staying in it. The outdoor fire pit area and picnic table were nice to have for our dinner. The mosquitos were horrible. Kids had a hard time with them. I just soaked myself in deet and didn’t have a problem. 😂 The drive from the Utah side was pretty rough. Going out, we went out St. Charles canyon. It was much, much smoother.
