This cabin is phenomenal!! There is tons of space, the beds are comfortable and there is cutlery and bowls/plates/mugs in the kitchen. You can easily see the Milky Way from the benches in the backyard. I went with 6 friends and we were amazed by the cabin and had more than enough space. The only thing is there is not much service at the cabin, which is understandable and we didn’t stay long enough in the area to explore trail access by the cabin but there are trailheads at the top of road by the gate! We had a great time and I’m waiting to get lucky to book this cabin again!

A unique experience being in the middle of red rocks and next to a creek, a tranquil, nostalgic environment, with plenty of room to accommodate large groups. Incredible views during the day and perfect conditions to watch the night sky.

We had a great visit to this "cabin". We are very thankful that the Red Rock Forest Service office makes this place available. It is a real gem in Arizona. WHoever was there before we landed did an awesome job of cleaning. Great spot. We visited the indian ruins further south and took a tour.

This site surpassed my expectations. While the building shows its age, everything is well-maintained. There are numerous hiking trails to explore. Templeton Trail, which can be accessed by crossing the creek and leads to Cathedral Rock. The area is serene and peaceful, and the kitchen is well-stocked with utensils.

The cabin itself is fantastic - really big (three bathrooms and three bedrooms; two beds big enough for two people, and three beds big enough for one person) and comfortable. The cabin's walls are so thick that the Bluetooth signal from my headphones was lost walking from one side to the other - which helps keep it very quiet, and would be great for privacy if hosting a big group. The view is also obviously unmatched. Unfortunately the cabin sits up the hill from an extremely popular site, so there's no real sense of seclusion during the day because you can definitely hear (and sometimes see) people hiking or at the creek. I guess this is unavoidable everywhere in Sedona but it is kind of a bummer. Also, and this is not really a complaint because I figure it's just inevitable, but there are definitely mice. If you're really afraid of mice, I would not stay here.

It's a great base camp with so much hiking and exploring nearby that you don't need a vehicle to get to so many trails. Such amazing views and a relaxing location. It is an old, rustic cabin in the middle of the wilderness, so expect bugs (mostly ants) and lots of mice. Always keep your food secured in containers to not attract anymore unwanted critters.
