Stove uses a lot of oil. Plan on 5 gallons a day if you leave it on.

Had a great time with my Son. Oil stove put out heat but burns lots of oil. Lots of trout in the lake. Maybe start looking into replacing oil stoves with something more efficient that burns less oil. It’s a great cabin and I’m looking forward to our return.

KahSheets is a wonderful cabin! We love rowing around the lake in the skiff, walking down the trail to the creek and beyond, and hanging out around the fire. Highly recommend spending the dollars to get into the lake by plane, or a water taxi to the ocean cabin and hiking up the three miles of lovely boardwalk. This is one of my favorite cabins in the Tongass!
