Magnificent site. So peaceful. Superbly maintained. We stay for a few nights every second or third year.

Cabin is in good shape, all the gas fixtures working and reasonably well stocked with dishes, utensils etc.. FYI, there is a fire pit that could benefit from ash removal but is useable when fire conditions permit. We had rain, hail and snow so spent one day in Granite and Sumpter. the former has a fascinating small cemetary.

The cabin and restroom were clean and someone was nice to leave a little drinking water for our arrival and a bag of ice in the freezer. We enjoyed listening to the larch snags ‘sing’ in the wind during a thunderstorm downdraft, rode bikes with our grandchildren and had 4 nice, quiet, moonlit nights.

We had a wonderful time at Peavy. Beautiful, serene and peaceful. The cabin is a luxury out in the wilderness. Just be sure to bring lanterns as the cabin lighting is quite dim.
