It was beautiful. Plenty of room and we had it all to ourselves.

We had a great time riding the trails of Lassen volcanic park. The two corrals there were ample for our animals. Just watch out for the rogue deer that attacks dogs!

The park staff and rangers were all very friendly and helpful. The actual camp site for horses should have been located on the same side of the highway as the lake rather than across the street. We camped during the Labor Day holiday and it was too dangerous from all the traffic to cross with our mules. You need more horse only trails developed from the campsite that do not require crossing a road traveled by cars!
