Nice and clean, not set up with supplies as most of them are. Picnic table and fire pit very nice.

What a special place the UP UP is! If you have a fear of heights, I would not recommend.

This was our third lookout tower experience and it was great! We saw Elk and Moose and even a Black Bear right at the base of the tower, He was flipping rocks over and eating the bugs. We watched a storm approaching over the mountains that enveloped the tower, rattled the dishes, then moved off into the sunset! It was thrilling. The rock steps to the tower are pretty uneven so we were happy we brought a toilet bucket with us for night time. The cab is nice and tidy and just right for two people. We hiked over to Gold Peak and got some cool photos of the tower from 5 mi away.
