A wonderful experience. A shout out to the Rangers and any others who make this facility possible. Keep up the great work! I have stayed here previously and will continue to put it on my summer list of things to do. I would give more stars if possible!

Heybrook is always a joy to stay at. Thank you to everyone who leaves it better than you found it and cleans up when you leave. The toilet paper off the trail the entire way is so sad to see - please do better. The bathroom area definitely needs some attention and would love to volunteer as a clean up crew when I get back to the state as I was only visiting one day. Check-in process was different than the last time I stayed and I would say it was easier and I like the change. The only downside I experienced this time was loud and disruptive groups hiking in until 10pm and someone trying to get through the “trap” door at 5am with a significant amount of force. There was no break in loud groups of hikers and it definitely put a damper on the peace flow, but it’s to be expected for an easy and accessible trail to such a great spot. Thank you to the FS staff who keep this place in such great shape for the public.

We had an amazing stay at heybrook lookout. The lookout was clean and well stocked and the views are even more spectacular from the top level! We will be back!

Amazing place to experience! The views would be less of an experience on an overcast day. There are dishes, stove, etc available for use. Take into consideration the additional water necessary to pack for cleaning of them, if used. Popular place. Beware of visitors all hours of the evening/early mornings especially!

We loved staying at Heybrook! The trail was great, not too long for the kids and the lookout was clean and cozy. We even got a spectacular sunset!

Great experience - beautiful views, lookout had three mattresses, not overly comfortable, but fine for a night. A great experience if you get the chance!

This tower is an absolute must see. It's hard to get a reservation but so worth it. It's almost emotional being up there while the sun sets and the stars come out. We were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the cabin was. Even offering solar lights and phone chargers. We did encounter many hikers starting at 6 a.m but they were all respectful and did not try to open the hatch to the top level where we were staying. An absolute must see and I will be going back. It asks about cell recception, we have phone service through Xfinity which isn't a listed option. Our cell service was great, able to facetime, load videos ect.

Amazing views and wonderful accommodations! I applaud the forest service for all of the amenities with this lookout. I have rented 8 lookouts over the years and most do not have working propane, let alone a scenic toilet. This is by far the busiest lookout our family has rented. Visitors from sun up to sun down, not all of who were respectful of quiet hours. We rented on busy 4th of July and probably had at least 40 groups come up. Also, not a great area for viewing stars, too much light pollution. The hike up with all your gear is not for the weak. It would be nice to have the gate to the road with a padlock with a code for only those who rent it to get the gear in. There was also highway noise to consider and lights from nearby cabins. Unlike other lookouts, I did not feel secluded or remote. Beautiful landscape and overall fun rental!

The Heybrook Lookout is well maintained and charming. What a wonderful opportunity for adventurous travelers. A huge thank you to the US Forest Service and the other federal agencies which maintain and protect our public lands heritage.
