We had an awesome time. We will definitely be going back. It is very difficult to get into. You do need a four-wheel-drive high clearance vehicle. I thought I could make it 2 Wheel Dr. but I had to get out and put the hubs in ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™ŒI canโ€™t wait to go back Big rocks creeks to ford very steep grades to climb to get there and mountain beauty.

I am sure that our rating would have been more had we made it al the way to the Guard Station as we got a flat tire 23 miles in, 7 more to the guard station from Highway 20 at Edna creek. To say it is a rough road is understated. There are several miles of really sharp, rocky, road. High clearance was not the issue. We drove slow, a crawl over it and got the flat tire in an area where there was some dirt on the road but imbedded with rock. Maybe the warning about the road in could include just how bad FS312 Pikes Rd. is and the need for maybe an extra spare tire, as we decided to turn around and at least be headed out if we had another flat tire. We met a guy on the road with the Forest Service, just before we got the flat tire and he told us that the road gets worse. We have traveled the Middle Fork Rd. and some of the North Fork Rd. and stayed at Dutch Creek Cabin and Barber Flats Cabin several times as well as Iron Lake A frame out of Salmon (long trek) with a lot of good memories. The view from Pikes Rd going to Graham guard station is spectacular though and Iโ€™d like to try to make it again with a couple extra spare tires.

My father and I stayed at the Graham cabin for five days to fish and dirt bike. It was an awesome stay. The cabin is remote but comfortable enough, in a beautiful setting. The dirt bike trails were a bit grown in but in such a remote setting that is understandable. My father did alright fishing the north fork of the boise. I hope to stay again in the future!

Graham is a nice remote location that is not easily accessible so does not experience high traffic.

We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed our stay at Graham Cabin. Getting there is a chore. You really need a reliable, 4WD vehicle. It's is a long, rocky, and sometimes steep dirt road with a couple water crossings. The cabin is just as advertised: spartan. Make sure you bring plenty of water and other supplies. This is a great location to relax, get away from the population, and enjoy Idaho's mountains.

Spent 5 days at Graham Cabin . Very serene and isolated. Fishing was good. There must have been a painting crew staying there previously as there was garbage let in a trash bag in the kitchen area. We took it with us when leaving . Other than than that we totally enjoyed our week . Saw several bears . This year we are considering renting cabin near Greys River in Wyoming. My brother-in-laws and I are in our 70's and quite enjoy staying in a cabin and not in a tent with sleeping bags. Quite comfortable and next time want to upgrade to a place with power and plumbing. Guess you could say we are spoiled and like our creature comforts now-a-days.
