This campground is a hidden gem. It’s HUGE! There is a great big group area with many picnic tables, two fire pits, and about four tent spots. Then, you walk down the path, and there are about eight more tent spots, two with their own tables and fire pits. It looked like the fire pits were brand-new! The campground is in a protected canyon, so we didn’t have any issues with wind. It’s nice and shady and the creek is running right along the side, which also helps to keep it cool. There is a fun rope swing that our kids enjoyed. There are two pit toilets, labeled one for men and one for women. You have to bring all your own water, but you are not very far from Grantsville if you need to go get something. The directions on this website were not great. Go through Grantsville and turn south on West Street. Take that street all the way up to South Willow Canyon. (There is a North Willow Canyon that you will pass on your way. Don’t turn there! ) Turn west and drive 15 minutes up the canyon. You will pass the Boy Scout campground , the ranger house, the lower Narrows, and then the upper Narrows campground will be on your left. There is a natural climbing wall right after the camp, with at least 10 different routes up the face. This would be a really fun place for a group of climbers to camp. We took families with many children and had a great time. It’s only an hour drive from Salt Lake.
