This cabin never disappoints. Beautiful location, beautiful cabin, and simple instructions on the heater. Kudos to the Petersburg District. My wife and I enjoyed having our coffee in a warm cabin and watching the weather come and go. Just awesome!!!

The hike up was incredible, but the legs do feel the stairs! Super cool Temperate rainforest hike to the top where it thinned out was amazing as my partner and I were able to see for miles around from up top and on a clear night, we even saw a bit of the milky way band! Very secluded, peaceful, and relaxing; just what was needed after a summer working! Watching the sun set over town from the last look out was a nice outing from the cabin! If you want to hike from the cabin though, keep in mind you'll be off trail then

Beautiful views and an awesome cabin on island! Good overlooks with quick steep hiking that you’ll talk about over the years! Raven’s Roost is a classic on the Petersburg Ranger District that makes you appreciate what the Forest Service has to offer!
