This place is amazing! It’s rugged and remote, with stunning views everywhere you look!

So peaceful. The lick is a pain but worth it. There are alit of bees but they never bothered us.

While a bare bones lookout, Acorn Peak was great. Clean structure with epic views. There are chairs, but bring sleeping cots. The road up has a couple tight turns, but there is space for vehicles to reverse for a better position to make it up. Just be aware and know your vehicle to make them successfully.

This place is breathtakingly beautiful and the views are hard to beat, I would definitely stay here again! I had no issues with the lock on the gate and it wasn't sticky like I thought I might be. After reading reviews, driving the road had me concerned but the road isn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. The road past the gate does get a little rough but it's definitely doable without 4x4 in my opinion, just watch out for those bigger rocks. There are a few sharp turns that I was able to navigate just fine in my 4runner, nothing to worry about as long as you're a decent driver. The lookout itself is in good shape and bathroom is fine for being rustic. Highly recommend staying here, it's absolutely amazing!
