Amazing and beautiful accommodation, spring is about 45 min walk

The lookout was beautiful, well kept, and clean. The views were absolutely stunning and it was nice to cozy up with the lantern and fireplace at night. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. Well maintained and clean. The documents on the lookout’s history were so fun to read. There is a spring about 3/4 mile away but it is bushwhacking to get to it and the walk back up is steep. Wish we’d had more time to hike to Shook Mt but we did make it to Rocky Knob.

A beautiful view! Make sure the follow out the written instructions on recreation.gov to get to the trail head. Both the google and Apple Maps link took you to the wrong stop.
