Beautiful views! Rustic cabin in a gorgeous setting, enjoyed having the option of both the fire pit or the grill. The Rangers were welcoming and helpful and while the ranger station is in town they even came to check on us after a storm to make sure we hadn't gotten trapped with downed limbs (we were fine). Vault toilet is well maintained. Don't forget to check out the Blue Bend recreation area for hiking and the creek. There's lots of cute shops and cafes in town (Across the Board Game Cafe was a delight)

Perfect night away for anyone that loves adventure & absolute peace but be warned someone had broke out a window a couple of nights before while people were staying there. Still a lil piece of perfection. .

A nice small cabin at the end of a roughly 4 mile well maintained gravel road with good views in one direction. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cabin and campsite were well maintained. As of July 2024, plenty of wood was available in the log pile, but nothing was split. I would recommend bringing a proper wood splitter to take advantage of any wood available. Was a great place to stay and get away from the crowd of a campground.

I came for the view and that is what we got. The vista is incredible and when you can take it in after nightfall and witness the sunrise the next morning it is unforgettable. Plenty of wildlife with deer, turkey, owls and other birds to view also. You have to remember that this cabin is rustic and basic. You do have electricity but no water or a modern bathroom at the cabin and you have to come prepared to support your stay with potable water and a preferred cooking method. There are hot showers and bathrooms at the Blue Bend Campground at the bottom of the mountain during the open season. The US Forest Service staff to include the campground host was extremely nice and very helpful during our stay. If you enjoy fishing, especially trout fishing you cannot find a better location. We were on ADV motorcycles and inquired with the US Forest Service staff of what point of interest did we have to visit and were advised we had to see Snake Rock. Locating and riding to this overlook was a challenge but well worth the effort.

Great cabin with amazing views. Was there during a cold front but stayed nice and warm. Wonderful firepit and grill. Good supply of firewood on hand. The vault toilet was very clean. Looking forward to the next visit!
