Great little cabin and "quiet" location, with fun fishing (1-wt fly fishing). Roads are very rough coming in, especially from the north. Fence needs work: cattle on cabin property that we had to deal with. Great fireplace/ grill. Did not see any mice.

Beautiful place. The stars at night are something else. Mice are plentiful and quite frisky. Bring an ax🪓 , hatchet🪓 and maybe a chainsaw as the firewood tools can be well used. Sometimes the firewood supply is sparse. All in all a unique experience . Wish I was there right now!!

Great experience! Moving the stack of wood away from the cabin would maybe help with the ground squirrel population that is present. Cabin was well equipped with kitchen utensils.

Please see our past review from September 19, 2021 for more detailed info. More below for this visit. We are taking off a star for this visit as the rear window has been broken out. In the journals it seems it has been like this for over 6 weeks. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Also, there was hardly any firewood so thankfully we had brought some and left enough for a few more guests. It's a rough drive for a car up to Vipond Park but it's really worth it! You also can see the road to the cabin and look down at the charcoal kilns from up there. Got to see some moose up there too. Bring some waders or high boots to hike the creek up the canyon. It was a blast! There were only about 6 pages left in the journal so if somebody could bring a blank hardcover book for future guests it would be appreciated. We remembered how bad the windows were so we brought razor blade scrapers and window cleaner and spent a lot of time getting the windows cleaned. Did not get the outside windows that were covered with nailed down screens though. Still we made a huge improvement.

the cabin was very clean. The area quiet. A wonderful experience. The gate could use some improvement.
