Cabin exceeded expectations all around. The stove seemed to still have a leak, so we didn't try to use it, but it was warm enough without. Saw a huge goat both days right out the window.

Great cabin and extremely easy to get to. It’s a very popular trail so expect people passing by and even peaking inside but worth it. Nice view, close water and the ability to drop gear and go explore more hiking/skiing depending on time of year.

Steep climb for the kids (ages 6, 9, 11) was WELL WORTH the effort to get up above the treeline and enjoy the alpine terrain. Mountain goats traveled through the camp, passing right outside the cabin as they traveled from one mountain to the next. Definitely recommend spending at least two nights so that you have a whole day to do nothing but play.
