Battle Ridge is still my favorite local cabin despite the cabin & outdoor fire pit being left in bad condition by previous users. There is a mouse problem as well. The "trail" from the big parking lot is also not well marked.

Nice cabin. Plenty of dry wood. Bring your own splitting maul. Had a great time snowshoeing in the area. Even did some sledding.

We had a fantastic visit. We parked at the Battleridge Trailhead and snowshoed in. Cabin was clean and cozy (and the outhouse was clean as well). We snowshoed around on Saturday, played games, lounged and woke up Sunday morning to 2 feet of fresh powder. Gorgeous! All of our tracks from Friday/Saturday were gone. We saw animal tracks and no animals. We brought our own lantern and didn't use the one that was there. There were 3 frying pans /skillets and some silverware in the drawer. No sign of mice - we kept the food secured. Thanks Forest Service!
