The cabin was great! Clean and welcoming. We were disappointed in the availability of wood. It seems as though the nightly rate should include the wood needed. Everything else was fantastic!

Lovely spacious cabin on the lake. Lots of windows for ventilation on hot days; tough to heat on cold nights.

You couldn't ask for better scenery. And the cabin is an excellent place to stay, at a reasonable price. It is a wonderful place to say. The response from the rangers to problems was almost immediate (such as the vault toilet running out of toilet paper). When a storm that was expected to drop five inches that night, a ranger came by to warn us of the storm if we were not aware of it. Polite, helpful, and friendly.

Beautiful setting. Nice, rustic cabin. My husband and I had never used a wood burning stove before. Adjusting the damper to get a good fire going was, for us, a little tricky.Thankfully, we found the instructions tucked away in a drawer by the kitchen. The one addition I would make would be to laminate the instructions for the wood burning stove and put them in a very prominent place by the main stove. This is an amazing little getaway any time of year. Such a beautiful gift to the forest service from the Woods family.
