Absolutely beautiful area. Rowboat provided. Two story cabin w lots of room! Drawbacks: nowhere for anyone not renting the cabin to experience the lake, and a lot of people wanted to hang out at the cabin campsite area. You think you’re renting a secluded campsite but people intrude “if that’d be ok” because there’s nowhere else to go, possibly with their multi horse team. Sharing a small site with 5 or 6 horses was not my idea of a quiet cabin time. Rowboat oarlock fell apart during our trip but we screwed it back together. One of the campsites on the cabin access road definitely smells like an outdoor waste pit. That was pretty sad.

When we arrived we found the deck, stairs and ramp sticky and stinky. Had it just been stained? In any case it was unusable over our 2 day stay, which really is a shame. It didn’t dry much either. Was it the correct product? Other than that it was great- watched a loon successful chase a moose away from its nest!

The hike in was great. Unfortunately, there were two guys at the cabin when we got there. They poached it the night before and tried to make us feel guilty because we didn't want to share it with them and let them stay another night. They also burned up the majority of the wood the people that stayed there over the weekend left. We still had a good night even though it was cold. The cabin is beautiful! You guys did a great job! We look forward to coming back and staying here again. Thanks for all you do.

It's a beautiful and spacious cabin, and the location is really nice. It is also very well-kept, firewood and tools to cut wood are all provided. The 7-mile hike to it is pretty. The snow was packed during the time we went there, and weather was perfect. It would have been a five-star review except the wood stove was not working. We burned through a lot of firewood and Duraflame but the stove never got hot. I could put my palm on the stove and it was only lukewarm at best. It is also a pretty big cabin (two floors!) with a lot of glass windows so I'm sure that contributed to the difficulty in heating the cabin. Needless to say, it was a cold, sleepless night. Other than the wood stove issue, it is a lovely cabin though I would probably not recommend a winter stay here. I'm imagining that this would be a nicer stay during the summer. Other than the wood stove issue, it is a lovely cabin!
