Heavy rains kept us from hiking but beautiful setting. Between the wood and oil stoves we were toasty. Be sure to bring a lantern or candles...gets very dark quickly. Well stocked with wood but need paper or firestarter.

Nice cabin and great location. Easy to get in and out of regardless of tide. Oil heater did not work. It had water in it and some of the valve parts were removed and laying on the floor. Put it back together but couldn't get it to work. Still had wood burner and lots of firewood. Scenery is incredible.

What's not to like about a forest service cabin in the Tongass? Great location. Easy hike to the falls. Just bring your Xtra-Tuff as it can be a slog... Don't forget to bring some shrimp or crab pots to drop too.
