I stayed here mainly as a last stop from camping at Bogachiel SP. A place with electricity and a bed was most welcome. I was impressed by how lovely it was to wake up and see the sunrise and trees through the window. I also enjoyed the fact that while the cabin was out in the country, it was a short drive to the shops and Costco in Sequim.

What a great little cabin! While it could use a good deep cleaning it was comfortable and everything worked as expected. The road was quiet except for an occasional dirt biker but low dust levels. The lawn needed a mow and there were skeeters but that's not a surprise. Easy to access and parking for a couple cars if needed. Bonus: It appeared the outhouse was cleaned weekly. Access to Sequim Bay State Park was close as were many trails like Upper Dungeoness and Royal Basin, Tubal Cain Mine, Slab Camp & Gray Wolf as well as the old Ned Hill Fire Lookout remnants. While not my favorite cabin in the network you can't beat the location or price.

My friend and I loved the Louella Cabin! It was nice to have electricity and heat! Only complaint we had was the extremely small port a potty! Make sure you bring enough water for cooking, cleaning (hand washing and dishes), and drinking!

Sweet cabin near many trails in the Olympics. Very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the history of this place built in 1926. Staying here was so much easier than camping this time of year. Toasty gas fireplace in Am. Also,Owls, full moon and stars which you viewed on your walk to the porta potty.

I loved having the cabin all to myself! Someone started a story about a ghost in the cabin and folks have built upon the tale by leaving clues about the ghost mystery around the cabin, which I thought was great. If you’re lucky enough to get this cabin, consider yourself lucky!

The cabin is spartan but comfortable. It was a plus that lights and refrigeration are electric — we aren't big fans of LPG. The outdoor shelter is a welcome extra, with more dry space on wet days. All-in-all an enjoyable one-night stay.

We had a fun and interesting stay at Louella Cabin, grandparents with daughter and 12 year old grandson. I will say it could have been cleaner and more attention paid to details. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, silverware, and pots/pans, but very minimal. We were glad we bought what we needed to fix our meals. We just happened to have a 5 gallon bucket with us, which we left, as it made tossing the sink water so much easier. The most unique event occurred when we spotted a weasel dragging a dead rabbit, at least 3 times it's size and weight, across the road and under the porch. The next day it carried a big rodent and the 3rd day a mouse. Must have been some hungry babies! At night we heard squeaking and rustling, but no sign of critters in the house. At home we identified the animal as a Long-tailed Weasel with a black tip on tail. Besides the board games, the weasel was a big hit. During the day we went on hikes, Lower Dungeness and Grey Wolf, and a long bike ride up FS#28. A fire each night was enjoyed by all, cooking 2 meals on it. Picnic table and firepit were great. And the PortaPotty was nice and clean. All in all, we enjoyed our time at historic Louella Cabin!

We loved this cabin. The only downside is that the beds are very uncomfortable. Bring camping mats. It was a peaceful two nights. We will definitely be coming back.
