As always, our stay at the cabin was excellent. We had great conversations with visitors during the day and fine dining in the evening.

How can one not love this cabin and experience ☺️ Have been coming for few years now…. Always wanting to bring this that or the other to leave at the cabin. Seems I forget each year😑. There is no paper or journal available. Is important for guests to write and share. I forgot to bring one I got for the cabin 😳 Prayerful someone put a new one there. Certainly not a deal breaker—- just want to brag about this awesome spot in our state 😉. Few pencils. Marker for host names. Brought our own dish towels. Hate to waist paper 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ ( know someone has to clean them ). Not sure how to make that better for folks who don’t have any. We brought plenty of water and left some there…. The least we can do Thank you for all you do 🙏

Awesome time up at the cabin! Clean and well stocked. The forest service had just installed a new battery for the solar lights. Thanks for an exceptional experience.

The Gordon Reece cabin was wonderful. With lights, propane, solar power, a wood stove, a cook stove... it was so comfortable! Extremely clean and well organized, views of Pioneer Mountains, clearly marked ski trails, and lots of snow. I will make this an annual trip. Thank you !!

The Gordon Reese Cabin is definitely a star on the forest service cabin rental opportunities list. It is well constructed and has many amenities. During winter ski season, this cabin main floor is shared with the public as a warming shelter and gathering spot for anyone that ventures to it. There is a sink with a French drain for gray water. There is a propane range and a variety of cookware, including a percolator. There are solar lights and propane lights as well as a variety of battery operated lanterns. Be sure to bring a flashlight and/or headlamp for personal use, and for going out at night. There is a wood stove that generously heats the interior of the cabin as well as an ample supply of firewood available. The deck on the east side of the cabin is welcoming and the views to the Pioneer Mountains are beautiful. There are pit toilets at the parking lot and near the cabin. They both get heavy use. The result is a towering poop-cone or shitsicle lingering below.

Beautiful ski in cabin (easy) surrounded with miles of groomed trails. Sleeping quarters upstairs are very comfortable. We have only stayed here during the Winter season. Highly recommended!
