The best thing about RoundUp Horse camp is the privacy! Perfectly quiet. The horse corrals are large and a couple are partly shaded. Water spigots right at the corral sites. The camping spots are level and easy to set up on. There's a huge covered picnic area for large groups. Trails riding out if camp are easy to find. You can ride for miles, cross the river, etc. We saw an elk, wild horses cooling off in the river, coyote, and a buffalo that liked hanging out right in camp, but didn't bother anyone. Highly recommend this camp!

We love Roundup Horse camp! But, $100 per night is ridiculous! No electricity and no bathroom/showers. Not sure what the rate increase was for, only improvement was a new fence. Once again, people with less won’t be able to use TRNP.

We had the best time at Roundup Horse Camp. Facility is rustic just how it should be at a horse camp in the Badlands right? Clean facility, love the fact that it’s somewhat isolated so riding out there is a rarity of seeing another person besides a ranger or maintenance person outside our group. Lots of wildlife Bison, 2 herds iof wild horses near the horse camp, and elk sited on numerous rides. Evenings can hear the elk bugling. It was absolutely a beautiful stay at Roundup!

Was a little disappointed with the grounds this year, not mowed and no rangers stopped to empty garbage the whole time there, the stalls were very messy when we got there and we ran out of toilet paper

Only negative was the garbage cans had not been emptied from previous guests. They were piled up and overflowing.

It has everything you need from the very clean bathrooms to the parvillne. Nice big area for trucks and trailers and nice horse corrals. Although the horse tanks could be cleaned out after every group leaves before the next ones come in. Another wise a great camp.

Things went well. Buffalo came through camp every morning. Wild horses came to visit camp as well.

Latrines are clean and smell good! the shelter with picnic tables is a nice respite from the sun and heat (next time I might want to bring a hammock!). The stalls were fairly clean when we got there and it's always great to have running water and the troughs. Rides were hot but gorgeous, LOTS of bison, more than we've ever run into before. Friendly rangers who stopped by the campsite and the bison that roamed through were pleasant :)

Nothing greater than being in the park.
