Beautiful cabin with a great river access. Perfect spot for a fishing weekend or just a place to relax and listen to the water flow.

I have made many trips during the last 20+ years to the Caribou Creek Cabin on Resurrection Pass Trail. It's a lovely overnight destination. This year, given the weather associated with climate change, the trail was particularly icy. I was able to receive valuable information from the ranger at the Seward Ranger Station. However, I'm concerned with the recent federal budget cuts, this possible life-saving position will be eliminated. I noticed the cabin's bench/railing has been removed. Again, with budget cuts, these important cabins may no longer be maintained.

Cabin was clean, good wood supply, nice hatchet for splitting wood. The top bunks are too close to the ceiling.

We had a great time at Caribou Creek cabin. The hike is not too bad but when we went it was pretty over grown so we had to wear long sleeves which made it kind of hot for us. The hike is not too hilly and we took our time. Not much to see on the trail, it only comes down to the creek a few times. The cabin is right on the bank of the creek and is at the forks of 2 creeks. There was plenty of firewood at the site along with an axe etc. It's very comfortable place to stay and very quiet. Didn't see many people at the time we went. The creek did have trout running in it all the way from the bridge up to the cabin. Lot's of moose and bear sign.
