Very boring. Massive thunderstorm when we got there and did not stop.

We hiked in from the Snow Peak Trailhead on a very hot day and were discouraged when we arrived at the cabin and found it sweltering hot and full of horseflies. However, we opened the windows and doors and within an hour, the flies were gone and it had cooled down. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the cabin! We hiked part of the Kettle Crest Trail south which was gorgeous with wildflowers and views as well as the Sherman Peak Loop Trail. It was wonderful to hang out at the cabin in the afternoons and evenings. The cots were nice to have and the propane stove worked great. It is well stocked with pots/pans/dishes. It was great having an outhouse as well. We had a marvelous off-the-grid adventure!

Snow Peak Cabin was the destination place for a special 70th birthday celebration. Thirteen ladies in all - 5 spent the night (several in the cabin & a few with tents) while the others hiked up for just the party. We found the cabin clean & in order. We did not use the wood stove or any of the wood supplied, but cooked on the propane stove. There was no evidence of mouse activity inside the cabin. There was sufficient supplies of TT in the outhouse & the water running from the PVC pipe was close to the cabin & clean although we chose to filter it anyway. The wild flowers were beautiful (3rd week in June) & a scramble up Snow Peak is well worth the effort for the views. Our group really enjoyed our stay.

Two adults and three kids this, our 6th trip, and the cabin supported the family very well. Everything was well stocked. Disappointed to hear the rates are going up substantially but I suppose that's a sign of the times and a very popular location.
