This was our second year here, much more snow this year. Beautiful as always. Thank you to everyone who came before us and treated this place as it should be, with respect and care. It was bitterly cold but the fire place kept us comfortable.

9/2 - 9/6/21. I love this cabin! The stove, fridge and gas fireplace work great! Nice big windows. Spent hours on the front porch reading, knitting, watching the butterflies and listening to the creek and coyotes. Sunrises were gorgeous. Was disappointed with people stopping by to use the toilet two different times. We were gone for 1/2 hour and returned to a group of 12 on ATV’s inside the fence having a picnic and wandering around the cabin. They were surly when asked to leave. If the driveway could be chained or gated for privacy, I would give 5 stars.

Great cabin. Railroad tracks are close, but the train noise was not bad. One of the beds was a fold down chair. All said a wonderful facility and will rent again.

Very beautiful cabin and setting. The only thing that was tough for us was the strong smell of propane. We opened most of the windows to try and air it out but the smell still hit pretty hard when first walking in the door. We did enjoy our stay - loved being by the river and the fire pit outside was awesome! Train tracks are pretty busy but didn't really bug us.

Overall a nice stay. I would highly recommend bringing head lamps, lanterns, etc. as the lighting in the cabin is terrible. We had two children with us and it was near impossible to see upstairs after 5pm. Beds were terribly squeaky, and flies upstairs were pretty bad as well, so some fly strips would be great to bring as well. It was a nice place in good condition and very clean. Also VERY appreciative that we could bring our dog! :)

Great cabin to say at! Although there were quite a few flies in the cabin had a great time none the less.

So,. Many. Flies... I have no idea if it was the time of year (end of sept.) or even what kind of flies these were but thousands of them occupied the entirety of the second floor (initially, due to the sound coming down the stairs, we assumed it was bees). We opted to make a truce and secede the entire upstairs to these flies and in turn, rather strangely, they weren't terribly bothersome/didn't seem to care about us or our food. Several locals were also perplexed when we asked, and assumed a dead animal or similar had to be the cause but there was none that we could find AND they occupied the out buildings/any surrounding structures as well. This worked out for two of us just fine. Hopefully that's a temporary or seasonal issues, looking past that it's also worth noting that your very close and up-hill to a section of train tracks in a passing area... while I don't mind and even somewhat enjoy normal moving train noises the prolonged screeching of brakes as they stop to let traffic pass (at all hours) really took away from the otherwise very nice surroundings. It would make an awesome sound effect for a horror film, though. And to be fair, wasn't constant/maybe happened 3-4 times a day so again, not something on it's own that made it unenjoyable. At the end of our stay myself and my friend decided we'd scratch this one off our list, not exclusively because of the above issues but we also didn't terribly like the surrounding area, which was beautiful but not what we were looking for/enjoy. There's FAR better in the general area, but depending on what you're looking for this might be ideal. Oh, and just to end on a good note the toilet/outhouse was new, clean, and far beyond what we'd generally expect.
