This was a fun place to stay. The bedrooms are pretty cold in the winter. But the living room stayed warm with the propane furnace and wood stove. We skied along the road and found some good hills to sled on. The only concerns were that it would have been nice to have some instructions on where to turn on the propane, and that the CO detector went off a few times. Seems like it would be a really fun place for a big group in the summer.

The Cub River Guard Station is a great place for family groups. We tried to water the lawn as much as possible to keep it green. We enjoyed the shelter, basketball court, horseshoe pit, volleyball net, and the fire pit. If we can get it reserved, we will return. While at this location we have ridden our ATV, and hiked to the spring near Willow Flat campground.
