Swan Lake and the beautiful USFS cabin provide a great access point to the alpine. The view at the cabin is spectacular! Like living a dream!

The location of the Swan Lake cabin is amazing. We found that the cabin was clean and in good shape. We carried a small outboard motor with us so we motored most of the time. But we were happy that this was the third cabin we had stayed at on this trip but the first one to have oars which were equipped with the proper oar locks to make them functional. The other two cabins in the Ketchikan area were Heckman Cabin North and McDonald lake cabin which had these nice new boats and oars but no oar locks so we were not able to row. We carried the paddles from our floatplane in case we had a problem with the outboard. Overall good experiences at all the cabins. Thank You

Simply amazing. When we were there, there were comfortable mattresses and a few camp chairs. The view from the cabin is out of this world. A wonderful and special place, will be going again!
