Cabin toilet did not work and the vault toilet did not have any toilet paper. The cabin is full of mice which have learned to eat the mouse trap bait without getting caught. The sign from last year saying that the water was not drinkable is now gone. The steps to the cabin were recently replaced. The boards are very slippery when wet and there are no hand rails.

Mice!!! Absolutely no cleaning supplies or toilet paper come prepared I had a mouse walk on me at night If this freaks you out be aware

The cabin needs more cleaning equipment, a mop ,etc.

We had a great time at the guard station. There was a pretty good size refrigerator and a normal size freezer. A little bit beat up electric stove top, but it still did the trick. A hot water heater and an inside bathroom. What a glorious thing to take a hot shower after a long hike! It’s nice cause you can park right next to the cabin. The beds are basic, but very comfortable. You have to remember to bring everything including towels, toilet paper, all food and spices. If you have a favorite pan or knife, please bring that too. We stored our dry goods and bins because I’m sure there’s some sort of mice in that cabin. Best to be safe. It was quiet and we felt very safe. We had two dogs and they did fine there. We just have to leave the cabin the same or better than you found it. There were some cleaning supplies, but we brought our own. Went to granite Hot Springs, which is very close by. Also did a nice hike to Cliff Falls. About 45 minutes to get into Grant Teton national Park. I would definitely rent one of these cabins again. If you like rustic, but still some amenities, this is the way to go for you!

I have stayed over in this location with horses in the past, enjoying a couple of days of riding the local trails. This year the condition of the cabin and corrals sadly were in disrepair. The Water spicket on the outside of the cabin was not even connected making access to get water for the horses very difficult. The gates to the corral were broken requiring us to use rope to keep them closed. We did come across a Bull Moose, Cow and its calf which made the riding nice. The ride to the lookout is always fun and scenic too. While this location has been a favored spot to stopover it is really in need of some repair.

Great little cabin. Full kitchen, nice beds. Heater works great. Love the roaming cows. Easy to access.
