We were a little nervous when the lock wouldn't open but it did, I believe it had to be pushed up and then pulled; There has been small green propane canisters in the past for the lantern but there were not any that were full, so plan on taking in your own. A spatula for pancakes is also something you should bring. Last folks who stayed didn't put very many wood pieces inside to be dry and ready for starting the fire. Otherwise it was a great stay, hard hike for the youth, but great for them. Thank you!

The forest service staff has really stepped it up! I took some supplies to the office beforehand to stock the yurt, and they took most of it up there. The smoke had nowhere to go but inside the yurt, even while adjusting the flues for airflow. All in all, great place, great experience!

Nice yurt. Visited in March - the ski in trail was well marked and very followable if you pay attention. The wood burning stove did not put out a lot of heat, so the yurt sleeps a bit chilly.
