The accommodations were great. Clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. Fortunately we brought 5 gallons of water since no water is available. It was a little rainy but the wood burning stove kept us warm. There wasn’t much wood in the cabin so we had to scout some out. The fishing was great. We were glad we brought our camp chef stove.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and did not find the roads too rough on the way in. We spent the day hiking around nearby Ice Cave Peak (off FR 298) and around the area of the reservoir. We were grateful for the wood stove when we had afternoon thunderstorms and chilly summer nights in the 40s.

IT WAS FAR UP! Hard on our car, but we had a great time! I’ll do it again.

Amazing! Very remote and beautiful! 30 miles from the closest "tiny" town and way up in the mountains. Drove without service pretty much the entire way up there, about 1.5 hours. To say you are on your own is an understatement. For my tastes, this place is truly Paradise. We saw a bunch of deer in the evening and a bunch more in the early morning. The stars were incredible and we even heard coyotes. The cabin itself is cozy and clean with plenty of firewood in the shed to the north. Very awesome! Definitely coming back to this one!
