Beautiful cabin-beautiful location. It was so cold out that night and we were so cozy inside all night. Highly recommend.

Basin Station Cabin was so clean and cozy! It's one of the larger USFS cabins we've rented. We are glad that we brought in 4 gallons of water for our two-day stay, and that we remembered to bring matches and newspaper. Thank you to the USFS for providing dry firewood, and thank you to the people who stayed before us for stocking the cabin with split wood and kindling! We did the same for those after us. By the way, we saw trumpeter swans, two moose and two wolves as we xc skied one afternoon!

This cabin is very rustic and is only for experienced campers interested in a rustic experience. I have no issues with that and found the experience quite enjoyable. Local rangers are kind. Be careful of snowy conditions at certain times of the year unless you are prepared to hike in/out, snowmobile in/out, or cross country ski.

Rustic, quiet, adventurous, unusual find in these times. Hoping to return before too long.

snowed while I was there; wood stove really warms up the place. Wood provided after Oct 1st is a great benefit. Wonderful 7 days.
