Initially felt that there would be an issue between scheduling on recreation.gov and actual success when getting to the group camp site at King's Bottom. We had no room for error in planning. Total Success. From the scheduling, arrival and moving into site (it's 100% hands off), staying, and departing, smooth. About the area: big fire ring - get your wood in town - there are bushes around and you are not supposed to harvest wood there - and now that it is Spring, you are crazy if you go in those bushes off the trails. Plenty of parking. Access to the water is not recommended - very steep.
