The cabin is good sized and clean. The wood stove is missing most of the gasket around the door and leaked around it until I figured out how to wedge a small piece of wood in the latch each time after opening forcing it shut more. No bears sighted near the cabin this trip

It's the largest cabin I've been in for a while (I live in Juneau, but cabins here are sometimes hard to come by due to popularity) - the table is huge and probably would sit 12. There are only 2 bunks, and a boatload of floor space (all upstairs is without bunks). The woodstove can crank out heat and wasn't in bad shape for being a public use cabin. Figuring out how to get enough firewood for your trip would be a good part of your plan... We burned a fire in the evenings pretty hot for 3'ish hours, and then let it be the rest of the time. We went thru approx a dozen normal-sized pieces of dry wood during the 3hr period. We were there for hunting, and took a deer. It was good that we opted to hang it from the second story deck as we had a bear visit and hope for a snack. The bear didn't climb, but bear-clatter noise on the lower deck in the middle of the night is a great way to get the heart racing. The doors deadbolt from the inside, so we were a touch nervous that an accidental nudge of the handle from the bear could have let him amble in. It'd be nice to have
