We had a great time at the cabin. It was extremely hot and the small creek adjacent to the cabin and river were great to cool down in! Fire wood was stocked and the cabin had tons of utensils and useful items.

Cabin is dark and dreary. There are 3 beds and a table and chairs. Gas mantle lights that I didn’t use. It was OK, but questionable whether it is worth $50. Easy access from highway 200.

We've been a few times at Cummings and really love the setting, the simplicity of the cabin and the surroundings, and the opportunity to get away from life for a while. It and all the forest service cabins, lookouts, campgrounds, are a valuable resource we have come to depend on. With the number of different cabins, etcetera we've stayed at through the years we understand that it's important the Forest Service not utilize its dwindling budget on upkeep and equipment. That being said- please replace the gas range. The thing is a hazard and you can find a good propane cook stove at thrift stores or a local Habiitat Restore. We know not everything is going to be in pristine condition and may be missing knobs, et al... but some of the burners could only be closed properly using a pair of pliers. One of them was stuck in the open position when we arrived. It's time to think of safety and upgrade.

We live staying at Cummins Cabin. Cozy, lots of firewood, far enough off of the main road to be private and secluded.

Great experience sleeping in a cabin over a hundred years old. Read some of the journal entries others wrote. Cabin warmed up quickly, slept well, and enjoyed nature. Want to come back soon.

Cummings Cabin was a quant and perfect unplugged getaway. From the creek right outside the cabin, to the many hiking trails, to the woodburning stove inside, it was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature.

Deer hair and blood around the campfire pit gave me the creeps, so we left to go back home. The cabin was tidy, but it was unsettling to stay the night.

Cabin is easy to get to and is daily near the town of Lincoln. Very interesting cabin. Lots of logging going on in the general area so noisy during the day. Cabin is very very rustic.
