Had a great stay at the Ford Cabin! Having the water pump was nice (disabled 11/30). Thank you to all who leave the cabin clean and orderly. Having an outdoor fire was awesome so bring some firewood. The views from the river were beautiful.

Our stay at the cabin was terrific. The cabin is small but perfect for two people. There is no cell service which makes it exceptional and the location is amazing. Be sure to hike to Hornet Lookout if you stay here, a must see.

Ford in the winter is lovely- go for a quick jump in the river and come back to a cozy little cabin to play board games and make dinner at. Don't forget to clean up after yourselves and bring your own firewood for the outdoor fire pit!! If you are traveling in the winter, you might want to bring tire chains. We were stuck for an hour near Polebridge for some jackknifed trucks and trailers on the icy roads. We likely wouldn't have made it to the cabin without our tire chains (rain on ice).

Such a peaceful old cabin to stay in. It's like stepping back in time. The proximity to the river is great. It's also nice to have a creek behind the cabin when the water (outdoor pump) is off for winter.

Besides the critters in the walls, was a very rustic, unique experience. We enjoyed it very much. There are off the grid type camping down by the river on same road. Campers can use the water at the cabin. Ford area is very remote and secluded.
