Beautiful spacious 2 story cabin. But I wish it had a wood burning stove in addition to the oil burning stove. Kayaker can't carry that much oil fuel, so we were cold inside the cabin.

Cozy and comfortable. We like a warm cabin, used about 15 gallons over 3 days in December. It’s a big cabin so bringing a generator and lights is helpful. We’ve also gone without and used candles and lanterns. The tide goes out quite a ways so it’s nice to load/unload on a high tide.

Cabin was clean inside without a lot of garbage or food outside. Pinks spawned in the creek in front of the cabin at high tide towards the end of our 10 days mid-September, and we found a fresh carcass and bear lay down spot but never saw the bear. Porpoises in the bay a few days when we could see because of the calm. A few crabs in the bay but also some empty spots.

Cabin and campsite were clean. I've had no luck contacting our local forest service, but I think someone needs to go out to the cabin and make sure it is still safe. We stayed there through a large storm, and the roof picked up 6-8 inches and then dropped down after a large wind gust. I can visibly see at about 5 feet on the front wall where the beams didn't set all the way back down, and a 1/2 inch gap around the front left roof support. Other than that little scare, we had a great time.
