8” of ice more than 1 mile from the cabin so couldn’t even get to it.

I know this cabin well and it is always a treat to visit.. My only recommendation is there was little to know firewood and what was there, was too wet..

Overall.. a great cabin !

The cabin was clean and tidy. The only downside was that the available firewood was fairly wet. It might be a good idea for the Sitka Ranger district to put their aluminum drop-bow boats to use and replenish the woodshed with some seasoned rounds of firewood.

Cabin was in great shape. Plenty of wood, stove worked well. Chilly Nov deer hunt. Had to break ice in the morning.

Excellent cabin don’t change it

Loved the cabin and the location. Saw bears, swam in the ocean. Cabin was neat and clean and plenty of wood - thank you Forest Service! The only negative was that 3 small yachts anchored right in the bay in front of us. We were looking for wilderness experience so it was disappointing to have other people especially considering they could have Anchored in one of the neighboring bays instead.
