The cabin was clean and it was a delight to actually have hot water and a shower available. The amenities include firewood which was nicely stacked and dry. The recent addition of solar light made the evenings more enjoyable. The cabin is behind locked gates at both ends adding to a sense of security since cell coverage is not available. Nice hikes up on the ridge and a wonderful corrals at the far end of the road/track.

We loved our time at the cabin. It makes a great base camp for exploring the area on our mountain bikes.

This is a wonderful cabin with everyhthing you need (except bedrolls and towels) in an exquiste, beautiful setting. A true gem. Huge thanks to the Forest Service for maintaing and making Fernow Cabin available!
